GREGG HOFFMAN
President

PHILOSOPHY

While striving to improve the mind, spirit, and relationships, taking care of the physical body often goes neglected. I believe this is a grave mistake. An unfit body will always limit a great mind. I feel strongly that it is my mission to help motivate, educate, and guide people through this sometimes difficult and often confusing endeavor. To help an individual bring forth his or her true potential in all areas of life is what I find truly rewarding.
 
 CLIENT BASE
I have accumulated a notable amount of experience working with people who want to lose fat, gain muscle, reshape the body, and improve cardiovascular fitness. I also have been very successful helping individuals who have had ACL reconstruction surgery, rotator cuff injuries, and low back pain. I have assisted amateur and professional athletes in improving abilities and performance for baseball, hockey, skiing and tennis.

EXPERIENCE AND CREDENTIALS

President and co-founder of Bodies By Hoffman, a one-on-one personal training studio.
  • Co-producer and talent: The Go Anywhere Workout video.
  • Certified Personal Trainer, American Council on Exercise.
  • Conduct health/wellness seminars in the corporate sector.
  • Teach certified and degreed personal trainer interns on strength training techniques, nutrition, and program design.
  • Instructor Personalized Weight Training for Colorado Free University.
  • Trained and advised Darren Bragg of the Colorado Rockies regarding weight lifting techniques and nutritional strategies.
  • Advised and consulted Jeff Hamilton of the U.S. Ski Team as he prepared for the 24 hours of Aspen race and the 1995 ski season. We focused on strengthening strategies and pre-race nutritional advice.
  • Coached little league baseball for seven years.
  • Wrote an article titled Integrating the Spirit through Exercise in Wake Up Shape... Live the Life You Love, by Steven e, Lee Beard. Page 87-89.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
I enjoy taking long and leisurely bike rides, playing tennis, baseball, spending time with my family, and of course, weight lifting.

 

STAFF TRAINING PROGRAM  
All Bodies by Hoffman staff members go through the in house training program. It is a 40 hour hands on program that includes:
  • 10 hours of shadowing the master trainer with a question/answer format
  • 10 hours where the master trainer watches the trainer work with clients
  • Being personally trained by the master trainer
  • Written essay test the trainer must pass
  • A solid understanding of the HI-FIT(sm) training style
This program is done to insure consistent quality with the Bodies by Hoffman staff.

STAFF AT BODIES BY HOFFMAN TRAINING STUDIO ON ALAMEDA AND DOWNING (WASHINGTON PARK)
 
Bruce Yontz-Trainer/Manager: Bruce has been with us for three years now. He is certified through the American Council of Exercise, and graduated from Emily Griffith with a degree in Personal Fitness and Human Performance. When Bruce was younger, he struggled with poor back alingment and chronic pain. The doctor suggeseted he wear a back brace for life. Upon a suggestion from his neighbor, he started weight training, and low and behold, his back pain started to go away. This was the start of his journey into exercise which lead him to where he is today. He is passionate about helping people engage in fitness, for he personally knows how important it is.    
 
 
Roxanne Ho-Trainer: Roxanne has been with us for over two years now. She received her certification through the National Personal Training Institute. She brings a high level of empathy and understanding to the table. Don't mistake that for being soft! If the situation calls for it, she'll work you hard. Roxanne has been active all her life. She enjoys what an active life feels like, and wants to share it with everybody. 
 
 
Dan Miceli-Trainer: Dan is an avid biker and skier. Being athletic is a passion of his, and he brings that enthusiasm to his work. He loves to see clients work hard toward their goals. The clients, in turn, are very happy with their program and in working with him.  
 
 
Alfred Kirkland-Trainer: Alfred brings a good deal of experience working with the older populations along with the general population. He understands how to adjust the exercise program to meet these needs, and he does it with compassion and enthusiasm. He has a gentle personality that makes a dworkout easier and more fun to do. 
 
 
 
STAFF AT BODIES BY HOFFMAN ON DRY CREEK AND UNIVERSITY (CENTENNIAL)
 
 
Joyce Sanchez-Trainer/Manager: Joyce also graduated from the Emily Griffith school with a certification for Personal Fitness and Human Performance. She also has a cerfification with the National Council of Personal Trainers, and a prenatal care cerftification with The American Council of Exercise. Her joy lies in creating exercise programs for beginners and athletes. She also knows how to work with people with special needs.
 
 
Cheryl Klosterman-Trainer: Cheryl brings to Bodies by Hoffman her experience from coaching high school basketball. She brings a lot of knowledge about sports performance and exercise design to do just that. She enjoys working with the high school athletes, and she enjoys working at Bodies by Hoffman too.  
      
 
All trainers bring their unique skills and training styles to Bodies by Hoffman, but they are all well versed in the HI-Fit(sm)  Training method. What this means is that each program is different based on the trainer style and client needs, but with a continuity and consistency that ensures quality and, ultimately, results.
